(SHOALS) - A Jackson, Tennessee man was housed in the Martin County jail after he brandished a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver at some Petersburg residents.

Police say 49-year-old Guy West became upset over a road rage incident and was taking it out on the victims.

West later headed toward Shoals and police located him traveling on U.S. Hwy 50.

They stopped West and spotted the gun allegedly used in the incident.

West was charged with intimidation and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
