(BEDFORD) - An accident on Shawswick School Road, east of Bedford, sent a teenager to the hospital, even though he felt he didn’t need to go.

Seventeen-year-old Benjamin Taylor, of Bedford, lost control of his Ford F-150 truck on a patch of snow and ice and slid into a ditch/embankment. His vehicle then overturned and came to rest on the driver's side.

The Bedford Regional Medical Center ambulance was called to the scene. Taylor told police and EMS personnel he was not injured, but he was taken to the hospital. Damage to the F-150 was between $2,500 and $5,000.
