LCCF Holds Noon Luncheon

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation held a noon luncheon Tuesday at the Bedford Convention Center to distribute checks to various organizations within the county.
Terri Owens with the foundation says nearly $98,000 in checks were presented. Since 1982, over 3.5-million dollars has been given by the foundation.
Some of the recipients included the Bedford Police Department's D.A.R.E. program, the City of Bedford, United Way of Lawrence County, the Bedford North Lawrence and Mitchell High School music departments, Limestone Girls Club, Bedford Boy's Club, the local Boy Scouts and Bedford Public Library.
About 100 people attended Tuesday's affair.
