(OOLITIC) - An Oolitic resident called police stating he heard a loud explosion and spotted a fire near Patton Hill.

The Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department along with the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department was called to put out the fire.

When they arrived they found that the neighbor was burning brush and had used too much gasoline to start the fire.
