(PETERSBURG) - A Jasper man has been found guilty attempted murder and criminal recklessness by a Pike County jury.

An Indiana State Police criminal investigation stated that 39-year-old Billy Joe Lemond allegedly fired a pistol at his ex-wife's vehicle as she and their 15-year-old daughter were driving down a county road.

No one was injured in the incident. The vehicle was pelted multiple times with two shots into the front windshield.

Lemond will be sentenced in January.
