Last updated on Monday, December 11, 2006

(MEDORA) - The Seymour Police Department and Indiana State Police are investigating a police action shooting.

Medora Police Chief Joe Barnes stopped a truck on a county road Saturday evening. Officials say a male got out of the truck and approached the officer with a shiny object in his hand.

Barnes told the man to stop before firing one shot in his direction. The man then fled the scene. Police are still searching for him.
