Fire Breaks Out Behind Family Dollar Store
(BEDFORD) - Bedford Fire Department fighters were called to battle a house fire Sunday afternoon on “G” Street behind the Family Dollar store.
The vacant home was fully involved with flames in the rear when fire fighters arrived. Fire fighters had difficulty getting inside the structure to fight the fire as heavy smoke hampered getting access to the fire. It took fire fighters about an hour to put out the blaze.
Bedford Fire Department Inspector Rusty Key is investigating the scene to determine to source of the fire. A final report should be released today.
