Discussions Continue On New Bedford Fire Truck

(BEDFORD) - Positive comments by the citizens of Bedford were made last night about purchasing a new fire truck.
After hearing the comments, the Bedford City Council reworked the ordinance to spend $350,000 of available money and to make up the difference by increasing property taxes by less than 2%.
The cost of the new fire truck is expected to be around $850,000 which could have been nearly $40,000 more had the board not decided on it last night. A third and final passage will be made in January.
