(BLOOMINGTON) - Purdue may own the Old Oaken Bucket again this year, but I.U. can lay claim to a different kind of bucket.
The annual Blood Donor Challenge between the two rivals which awards a replica oaken bucket to the winner went to the Hoosiers this year.
More than 47-hundred units of cream and crimson blood were donated, bettering the donations from West Lafayette by about 800 units.
Overall, a new donation record was set, with almost 86-hundred units given in total.
