Power Outage Near Springville

(SPRINGVILLE) - A power outage was reported overnight near the Springville area.

A resident called the Lawrence County Police saying they thought they heard a loud boom thinking it may be a wreck. Police went to the area but found nothing.

Police received more calls and it was determined electricity was out in the northeast corner of Lawrence County.

The Bloomfield REMC was called to restore power. A spokeswoman from the company revealed the outage lasted about 3 hours but did not know the cause of the outage.
