(INDIANAPOLIS) - The FedEx express hub in Indianapolis is launching the company’s Trees For Troops program.

Volunteers will collect, prepare and load Christmas trees donated from around the state onto FedEx Express trucks. They will then travel to the FedEx Express hub in Indianapolis, where the trees will depart for U.S. military bases overseas.

Woodcrest Farm of Bedford was part of the effort by donating some of their trees last Saturday. FedEx plans to deliver more than 13,000 trees total this holiday season overseas and to military bases in the United States.
