Cheer Fund Missing Donations
Last updated on Wednesday, November 22, 2006
(COLUMBUS) - Columbus fire officials are reeling from the theft of scores of gifts donated to a firefighter’s charity.
Electronics, clothing and toys were taken from the Columbus Cheer Fund's donation center.
The gifts were slated to go to about 16-hundred teenagers during the holiday season. Police hope to recover the stolen goods before December 16th, when the deliveries are scheduled to take place.
The Cheer Fund has given gifts to underprivileged kids since the 1930s.
