(COLUMBUS) - Fire officials in Columbus say the help is coming in from far and wide to re-fill the city’s “Cheer Fund” coffers.
The fund collects holiday presents for underprivileged teens, but was burglarized early last week and lost much of its stash.
Donations ran strong in the wake of the news and authorities say calls have come in from Washington and New York asking to make donations.
Organizers say they remain optimistic of reaching their goal of giving away 16-hundred gifts.
