(BEDFORD) - “What Does Christmas Mean To You?” That is the title of this year’s Bedford Festival of Lights Christmas Parade.

For the past two months parade coordinators have been gearing up for the event to be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 6:00PM.

Third grader Rachael Sorrells, from Stalker School, has been chosen as the Grand Marshall after she submitted an essay, among 345 others, on her meaning of Christmas. She received a $100 bill for her efforts.

Parade Chairman Gary Ochs says so far only about 30 entries have been received. He is hoping to exceed last year's total of 146 entries. He reminds those still interested that the entry form needs to be postmarked no later than next Tuesday, November 21st.

Entry forms can be picked up at here at the radio station, the Times-Mail newspaper office, Bedford City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce. You can also go online to www.bedfordchristmasparade.com and print out an entry form. Ochs says this is always the biggest celebration in Southern Indiana.
