126 Entries Set For Bedford Christmas Parade

(BEDFORD) - One-hundred-twenty-six parade units are set to go this Saturday night during the annual Festival of Lights Bedford Christmas Parade.
Parade Chairman Gary Ochs says there will be five professional floats with lights and music, four musical groups, two marching bands including the Bloomington Brass Band, antique cars among the many other entries including churches and kids groups. Volunteer Fire Departments from all over the county will participate with their trucks in this year's parade and 3 trucks will be judged by parade officials. Fireworks will be set off during the parade which will begin at 6:00PM in downtown Bedford.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be part of the parade and will be able to talk with the children afterward inside the Courthouse on the Bedford square. Children will receive a goody bag courtesy of Sipes Body and Glass with an apple in every bag thanks to Applacres. Also free pictures will be taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Ochs says people from a 10 county area will come and see the parade. Ochs says he is thankful with the 29 businesses that help sponsor the festival this year. He says it shows strong support from the community.
