Two Suffer Life-Threatening Injures In Accident

(BEDFORD) - Two people were Lifelined to Methodist Hospital following an accident Sunday.

Police were called to State Road 37 and Washboard Road around 5:00PM to a report of a two-car pile-up where 17-year-old Joshua Grandstaff, of Bloomington, was attempting to cross the highway.

He slammed into 18-year-old Jeremy Hobbs' vehicle which was heading northbound on Hwy. 37. Hobbs tried to stop, but was hit by Grandstaff's auto.

Three passengers in Hobbs' car were injured in the accident. Ten-year-old Levi Longest and 49-year-old Lesa George, both of Bloomington, were sent to the Indianapolis hospital with internal injures. A third passenger suffered an abrasion to his head.

Damage to both vehicles was between 10 to 25-thousand dollars. Police say alcohol contributed to the accident.
