Son-In-Law Kills Martinsville Businessman

(MARTINSVILLE) - A Martinsville man is accused of stabbing and killing his father-in-law over the weekend.
Police say 37-year-old Timothy Bennington stabbed Morgan County businessman Charles Mason with a pocket knife on Friday night. Mason had been trying to break up an argument between Bennington and his wife, Mason's daughter, Shannon Bennington.
Investigators found Timothy Bennington early Saturday in a cornfield. Bennington was arrested and charged with murder. Police say the incident was witnessed by his wife and their 6-year-old son.
