Snow Keeps Bill Cook In Bloomington
(JASPER) - Indiana’s wealthiest man is Bill Cook, the founder of Cook Group Inc. in Bloomington.
The company remains at the forefront of medical research and product development, offering minimally invasive medical device technologies for both diagnostic and treatment procedures. These products have all but eliminated the need for exploratory surgery and in some cases, replaces the need for open heart surgery.
Cook was the guest speaker at the annual luncheon meeting of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce. Along with his success, Cook admits, at times, he has been discouraged, but he has also learned that persistence often leads to success. Cook is a native of Illinois, his wife a native of Evansville. They moved to Bloomington in 1963 because it was snowing in Chicago, he was tired of the snow and as he drove into Bloomington, there was no snow on the ground.
