Shoals Woman Arrested On Combative Charges

(SHOALS) - State Police Trooper Trey Lytton stopped a Jeep Cherokee, driven by 51-year-old Barbara Sanders, of Shoals, for a traffic violation.
Lytton found Sanders intoxicated and began to arrest her. She became verbally abusive and combative with Lytton. He tried to give her a chemical test and she refused.
He was able to subdue Sanders and charged her with resisting law enforcement and operating a vehicle while intoxicated test refusal. She was also charged with an additional operating a vehicle felony after she was found to have a similar charge in 2004. She was taken to the Martin County Jail.
