(BEDFORD) - Bedford police arrested two women on traffic and drug charges after investigating a possible theft at the J.C. Penney store at the Town Fair Shopping Center.
Police were called to the store, but no stolen merchandise was found, however, police discovered that 31-year-old Brandie Bundy, of Mitchell, was a habitual traffic offender and charged her with the offense.
Also, police saw her friend, 27-year-old Beth Ann Harris, of Bedford, a bit inebriated. She initially lied to police about her name. They also found her in possession of schedule IV controlled pills.
Both Bundy and Harris were taken to the Lawrence County Security Center and incarcerated.
