(BEDFORD) - Bedford police arrested two women on traffic and drug charges after investigating a possible theft at the J.C. Penney store at the Town Fair Shopping Center.

Police were called to the store, but no stolen merchandise was found, however, police discovered that 31-year-old Brandie Bundy, of Mitchell, was a habitual traffic offender and charged her with the offense.

Also, police saw her friend, 27-year-old Beth Ann Harris, of Bedford, a bit inebriated. She initially lied to police about her name. They also found her in possession of schedule IV controlled pills.
