Jury Accuses Myers Of Killing Berhman
(MARTINSVILLE) - A Morgan County jury has convicted an Ellettsville man of killing I.U. student Jill Behrman while on a bike ride more than six years ago.
It took jurors less than one hour Monday to decide 31-year-old John R. Myers committed the crime in May of 2000.
Closing arguments were held yesterday following a delay imposed by judge Christopher Burnham. The delay was to determine if the panel had received improper information.
The trial lasted for 12 days, with 50 witnesses being called by the prosecution and just two being called by the defense. Sentencing will be on December 1st.
