(MARTINSVILLE) - Prosecutors in the Jill Behrman murder case Thursday worked to discredit a defense claim that the victim might have been killed by a married coworker.
Earlier this week, John Myer's lawyer claimed the motive for Jill's murder was an unwanted pregnancy from an affair with Brian Hollars.
Hollars worked with Behrman at the I.U. Sports Center, owned a 12-gauge shotgun, and lived close to where Jill's bike was found in May of 2000. But the Bloomington firefighter testified yesterday that he did not know much about Jill, only that she was one of the student workers he supervised.
Prosecutor Steven Sonnega called claims that Hollars murdered Behrman both improper and outlandish.
