Absentee Voting Up In Lawrence County

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Clerk Julie Blackwell Chase reports the number of absentee voters has increased for the November General Election.

Chase says that 255 voters have cast ballots in the Voter Registration Office in the first two weeks of absentee voting. She also says a larger number of voters have requested ballots by mail. Over 1,000 of those have been sent so for.

The Voter Registration Office will be open each day this week from 8:30AM 11:30AM and 12:30PM to 4:30PM. On this Saturday and Saturday, November 4th, the office will be open from 8:30AM to 3:30PM. On the Monday before Election Day absentee voters can come in from 8:30AM to 12:00 noon. An absentee ballot can be requested through Monday, October 30th.
