Taste Of Lawrence County Raises $2,000

(BEDFORD) - The 4th annual United Way fundraiser Taste of Lawrence County was held Saturday at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Area restaurant connoisseurs and chefs grilled their favorite recipes with participants voting for their favorite dish. Winners in the three grill-offs included General Motors Powertrain against Dunn Memorial Hospital with their pork meals, Mitchell Mayor Butch Chastain won with his catfish dish over Bedford Mayor Joe Klumpp, and the Times-Mail won with their chicken entree over Bedford Regional Medical Center.
According to United Way President Mike Lewis over $2,000 was raised for the organization Saturday.
