Re-Seeding Otis "Looking Great!"
(BEDFORD) - “The back nine are looking great,” that according to Otis Park Golf Professional Steve Terry.
During last night's Park Board meeting, Terry said holes 10 through 18 are improving day by day. Bedford Park Director Dave Edwards added that United State Golf Association Green Section Director Bob Brame has been checking the progress of the reseeding throughout the summer and will meet with Edwards one more time to give the go-ahead to open the holes by January 1st, 2007.
Meanwhile, the 76th Annual Bedford Men's City Championship games will begin on Saturday with about 41 men signed up to play. Terry is hoping about another nine men will sign up to bring the roster to 50. The popular golf event will last until Monday. Other events have been rescheduled including the Couple's outing to October 7th and 8th and the Knight's of Columbus jaunt will be held on Sunday, October 29th.
