Orleans Purse Thief Arrested

(BEDFORD) - With help from Bedford Police, Indiana State Police were able to arrest an Orleans woman on theft charges.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jill Hayden was stopped by ISP for a traffic violation. She was found to be in possession of marijuana under 30 grams and publicly intoxicated.
Also, a purse was found that did not belong to Hayden, however, the owner of the purse had called police earlier reporting she had lost it. Bedford police recognized the stolen purse and returned to its rightful owner.
Hayden was taken to the Lawrence County Security Center on the drug charges.
