(MITCHELL) - The 60th Mitchell Persimmon Festival continues today with the Marion Township Rural Fire Department cooking their pork dinners at the 7th Street Tent beginning at 4:30PM.
At 5:00PM the Carnival rides will start up on Main Street. At 7:00PM tonight, the Mitchell Varsity Singers will perform on the Main Street Stage. Then at 7:30PM, the Mitchell Dance Team will strut their stuff also on the Main Street Stage.
The highlight of the night will be the Mini-Miss, Little Miss and Junior Miss Persimmon Pageants on the Main Street Stage at 8:00PM. The festival continues all week with the Persimmon Festival Grand Parade next Saturday at 2:00PM.
