(UNDATED) - Bedford Mayor Joe Klumpp attended the first meeting of the Indiana Land Resources Council Meeting recently.
Klumpp was asked to head the Municipal Government council, which he accepted.
The nine member board oversees all types of land use in the state and evaluate the proper planning.
According to Agriculture Director Andy Miler the council's goal is helping communities be proactive rather than reactive to prepare plans and regulations before controversies arise.
