(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Sheriff Kent Hawkins was in front of the Lawrence County Council again last night asking for additional money to fund the depleting prisoner meal account and the medical fund.
Kent was asking the council for a total of $59,000.
The board discussed removing monies from the misdemeanor and commissary funds and add them to the medical account. That decision was tabled until next month. The council then gave Kent an additional $10,000 for the meal account.
