(OOLITIC) - Fire fighters from five different volunteer departments were called to an apartment house fire in Oolitic yesterday.
Nearby residents reported an explosion before the fire began.
About four people were living in the 3rd and Hoosier Avenue home. No one was apparently injured; one man was taken from the home at the time of the blaze.
Jack Voitschild with the Salvation Army and the Red Cross were called to help the renters find temporary housing following the fire. Fire fighters spent the biggest part of the night and this morning squelching flare ups.
