60th Mitchell Persimmon Festival Underway
(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Persimmon Festival gets underway this Saturday with the Tennis Tournament at 8:00AM at the City Park.
A Horseshoe Tournament will follow at 9:00AM. Saturday is EMS Day at the Mitchell High School with area EMS agencies displaying their equipment and vehicles from noon to 4:00PM. The Mini-Miss, Little Miss and Junior Miss Persimmon Pageants will be held at the School Auditorium with the preliminary judging and interviews and 3:00PM. It is open to the public. At 4:00PM Saturday, the Spring Mill Tri-Kappa Candlelight Tour will begin and run until about 9:00PM.
On Sunday the Persimmon Road Rally will start at 11:30AM at the Mitchell High School Faculty Parking Lot. The Tennis Tournament Finals will be held at the City Park beginning at 2:00PM and the Community Vesper Service will be at the High School Auditorium at 7:00PM.
A week long slate of activities will be held with the Persimmon Festival Grand Parade on Saturday, September 30th at 2:00PM.
