Work To Begin On Broomsage Bridge

(BEDFORD) - Construction on the Broomsage Road Bridge near the General Motors plant will begin soon.
Lawrence County Highway Department Director Bob Stowe says the auto company, who has been working at removing PCBs in the area for some time, is ready to proceed with the construction.
Stowe says the Indianapolis engineering firm of R.W. Armstrong is finishing up on some paperwork and will start the project once everything is in order.
Stowe says a turnaround will be built around the bridge for school buses to use. He also says no time frame has been given on how long it will take workers to complete the project.
