Couple Arrested on Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teenager and Mitchell resident were arrested in the Wal-Mart parking lot over the weekend on drug charges.
Police were called to the store after 25-year-od Jacob Clevenger, of Mitchell, was noticed by an employee to be intoxicated.
When police arrived they found him attempting to leave, along with nineteen-year-old Teela Mitternight. After investigating the situation, police found the couple in possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of marijuana under 30 grams and possession of paraphernalia.
The pair was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Security Center. A child in the vehicle was taken by the Child Protective Services and handed over to relatives.
