Last updated on Wednesday, August 16, 2006
(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man is recovering after a fireworks stunt left him severely burned.
Twenty-one-year old Kaleb Spangler strapped a heavy-duty firework to a football helmet, donned the helmet and lit the explosive.
He was found unconscious, bleeding and with burns on his face.
Spangler's girlfriend tells police alcohol was likely a factor in the stunt.
