(INDIANAPOLIS) - Work is underway on repairs to the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in downtown Indianapolis.
Limestone from the Bedford area is being used to replace the large semicircular bowls on the upper level of the monument's fountain.
There are six pieces to each bowl, each piece weighs five tons.
The $1.75-million renovation is expected to be completed by mid-November.
