Two Teens Injured In Highway Accident

(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford teens were injured in an accident that occurred at 4-lane Hwy 37 and the 16th street intersection.

Police say 19-year-old Alafair Hall was attempting to merge onto Hwy 37 from 16th street and failed to see a vehicle driven by 68-year-old John Ponzini, Jr., of Springville heading north. Hall's vehicle slammed into the side of Ponzini's vehicle causing between 5 and 10-thousand dollars damage.

Hall complained of leg pain, his passenger, 17-year-old Ben Hall complained of eye pain. He said he had pieces of glass in his eyes. Bedford Regional Medical Center EMS was on the scene to treat the teenagers. Ponzini was not injured in the accident.
