(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police Major Dennis Parsley relates a story that occurred at the Bedford Police Station recently.

He says a mother came to the station asking for a officer to help her discipline her 25-year-old daughter. When police came out to help they discovered the daughter was inebriated.

After talking with the mother they found she too was a bit dipsomaniac. Police asked the driver of the vehicle if she would drive the pair back home, but discovered that she had been tipping the bottle as well.

All three were taken to the Lawrence County Jail for a night in the cooler. Police there found the mother was in possession of marijuana less than 30 grams. She was additionally arrested with the drug charge.
