State Ordered To Pay Chinese Family
Last updated on Friday, July 14, 2006
(BLOOMINGTON) - The state will settle a wrongful-death lawsuit for $350,000 over the 2004 death of a six-year-old boy.
The parents of Felix Chen contend the boy was wrongly removed from his family's home because social workers did not understand the mother's Chinese cultural heritage.
They also claim the boy did not receive adequate medical treatment while he was in the state's care.
