Mitchell Accident Involves Three Vehicles
(MITCHELL) - Five people were involved in an accident on State Road 37 and Stevens Lane near Mitchell.
Police say 47-year-old Gloria Mundy, of Bedford, was trying to cross the highway from Stevens Lane. She began to cross when 48-year-old Ronnie Gipson, of Mitchell, heading southbound on Hwy 37, slammed into the side of Mundy's vehicle. The force of the accident caused Mundy's auto to sideswipe Mitchell resident, 65-year-old Jerry Asbury's auto, who had been behind Mundy.
Twenty-two-year-old David Thomas, of Bedford, a passenger in Mundy's auto complained of chest pain. 77-year-old John Sullivan, Sr., of Bedford, suffered head injuries in Gipson's auto. Gipson complained of chest pain, 44-year-old Dora Gipson, of Mitchell, complained of leg pain. The other drivers refused medical treatment.
