(BEDFORD) - Bob Roggie with Vectren Corporation, associated with Indiana Gas, presented a check this week for $2,500 to Natasha Johns at the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association.

The check was given to Johns who is working hard at putting new playground equipment together at the Englewood School in Bedford. Johns says about $10,000 will completely pay for the new playing area.

On Saturday volunteers will begin construction of the brand new playground. Work will begin at 8:00AM. Lunch and supper will be provided.

Johns says more volunteers are welcomed. She says to be sure to bring your own tools. If you are good at landscaping, your services are needed. She is hoping for a big turnout Saturday at the Englewood School.
