Lawrence County 4-H Fair Holds Baby Contest
(BEDFORD) - The Baby Contest was held at the 2006 Lawrence County Fair Monday night.
Winners for babies 0 to 6 months were, Haleigh, daughter of Brad and Heather Canada and Carson, son of Kentlee and Christina Root. In the 6 months to one year old category they were, Madison, daughter of Jennifer and Justin Smith and Maddox, son of Autumn and Gary Ray. Kaylee, daughter of Jason and Ashton Bean and Joseph, son of Tina and Tony Brazzell won in the 1 to 2 year olds. Two to three year old winners included Leekeysha Moffatt, grandchild of George and Marilee Atterbury and Aiden, son of Will and Katrina Spradlin. Three to four year old winners were Liberty, daughter of Crystal and Nicholas Brewer and Brye, son of Erin and Joe Lewis. Derek and Darin Bell, sons of Bobbie Livingston and Troy Bell won in the twin category.
The third in a series of Horse and Pony Shows was held at the Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds Monday. Winners included Lauren Mitchell, Kelly McKight, Bretta Jean, Karlie Metzger, Kortni Burnette, Rachel Wynn, Brittaney Spreen, Lauren Werner, Dyana King, Lacy Waggoner, Leah Scherschel and Julia Scherschel. Congratulations to all who participated.
The 4-H Market Beef Show was held Monday. Winners were Kody Emmons, Calandra Otis winning in two categories, Hunter Hamilton winning in two categories, Jessica Chastain, Lana Batman, MegAnn Norman, Tayla Robbins, Mary Ellen Spreen, Joey Holt, Brandee Bailiff, and Jade Daab. Monday afternoon, the Llama Show was presented. The Junior Obstacle One Showmanship winner was Zach Crane. Natasha Breedlove won in the Intermediate Obstacle One Showmanship and Amanda Sons won in the Senior Obstacle One Showmanship. In the Costume Class Grand Champion the award went to Zach Crane.
