IU Students Accounted For In Israel

(ISRAEL) - At least a dozen Indiana University students remain in Israel despite the outbreak of hostilities between Israeli defense forces and militants in Lebanon.
Among them are three students who had been attending a summer program at the Israeli archeological site of Beth Shemesh.
IU Associate Dean of International Programs Kathleen Sideli has been in close contact with two of the students, both of whom are planning to return to the United States within the week. Contact with a third student who is believed to be in Tel Aviv has not yet been established.
Two Jewish studies students who had been attending the University of Haifa are now in Jerusalem and have been accounted for.
