Bedford Park Board Decides To Keep Back Nine Closed

Last updated on Friday, July 21, 2006

(BEDFORD) - In a controversial decision, the Bedford Park Board has decided to keep the back nine holes of the Otis Park Golf Course closed for the rest of the season.

After some discussion, the board felt it was in the best interest.

Earlier in the year holes 10 through 18 were reseeded with new grass and the reseeded areas continue to improve.

All tournaments scheduled for the rest of the year will be canceled.

Bedford mayor Joe Klumpp had asked the board to open a few of the reseeded holes, however, the board felt all nine needed to remain closed.
