Alcohol Not A Factor In Lake Monroe Boating Accident
Last updated on Wednesday, July 26, 2006
(BLOOMINGTON) - Officials say a man driving a boat involved in a fatal weekend accident was not drunk at the time of the crash.
Conservation officers administered a toxicology screen to 31-year old Chad Gorrell, which came back clean. Gorrell was piloting a boat which slammed into another vessel, killing Barbara Chamberlain, of Greenwood.
Officials say they've found no evidence so far that Gorrell was negligent in the moments leading up to the incident.
