Accident At Lake Monroe Kills Woman

(MONROE) - A speedboat collision at Lake Monroe resulted in the death of a 43-year-old Greenwood woman Saturday afternoon.
The accident occured around 1:00PM when the speedboat collided with a deck boat at the south end of Lake Monroe. A 43-year-old man was also injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital.
Although officers do not know what caused the crash, they do not believe it was alcohol related.
