(TERRE HAUTE) - Vigo County prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against the Terre Haute man charged with killing his four-year-old son.
Prosecutors filed the papers Monday to pursue a death sentence against Katron Walker. They also formalized preliminary charges of murder and attempted murder. The preliminary charges had been filed last week.
Police say Walker abducted his four-year-old son Collin Walker and his two-year-old brother, Monte, last Tuesday from their grandfather's house. Katron then stabbed both toddlers when police tracked them to a private lake in Blackhawk.
Monte Walker was being treated at the Terre Haute Union Hospital and was released to officials on Friday.
