State Police Increasing Patrol This Holiday Period
(UNDATED) - Indiana State Police will be concentrating this 4th of July weekend to keep crash and injury accidents to a minimum.
Police will be increasing their presence on the roadways during the extended weekend trying to reduce traffic accidents from years past.
Last year 24 people were injured over the Fourth of July holiday a drop from the previous year. Programs like Click-It-Or-Ticket, Operation C.A.R.E., SWDUIEP, and Operation Pull Over will be stepped up from June 30th to July 4th.
Indiana State Police Superintendent Paul Whitesell says he simply wants to "keep travelers in our state safe."
