Police Want To Question Witnesses To A Fatal Crash

(DUBOIS COUNTY) - State Police are continuing to investigate the accident that occurred in Dubois County that killed three teenage girls on Monday.

18-year-old Tyler Messner, of Ferdinand, was operating his gray and white 1994 Dodge Dakota on State Road 162 just south of Bretzville Junction. He was traveling at a high rate of speed when he attempted to pass a vehicle on the right side of the road. He lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree killing his three passengers. He, along with a front seat passenger, were taken to an Evansville hospital with minor injures.

Police are looking for the man or woman who Messner was trying to pass to question them on the accident. Police say the witness is not in any trouble they simply want to understand why the accident occurred.
