(BEDFORD) - Bedford Mayor Joe Klumpp has been appointed by Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson to serve on a newly formed committee for the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.

Klumpp will join about a dozen other state elected officials as part of the high performance government taskforce.

The group has been created to design, develop and implement effective and accountable public services.

Klumpp says he is honored to be considered by his peers and believes this type of involvement will broaden his capabilities for his job as mayor for the city of Bedford.
