(BLOOMINGTON) - A National Guardsman was arrested in Bloomington for being absent without leave.
Police say 21-year old Ian McMellan was among a group of people found at a public park after hours, and an AWOL warrant for McMellen was discovered during routine identity checks.
McMellen allegedly admitted that he had not reported for duty in over two months.
Authorities were unsure what unit McMellen belonged to.
